Regulation (EU) No 1302/2013 (hereinafter: Regulation) amending Regulation (EC) No 1082/2006 on the establishment, operation and functioning of European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation, having regard the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (hereinafter “Ministry”), European Parliament and the Council, Act LXXV of 2014 on the European Grouping of Territorial Coopeation, Ministry Regulation 2/2014 (XII.30) on the detailed rules of the approval and registration procedure of the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation, Ministry Regulation 3/2015 (VII.15.) on the rules of the management and use of chapter-managed appropriations, Act CXCV of 2011 on public finances (hereinafter: public finance), Government decree 368/2011 (XII. 31.), on the implementation of Public Finance Act, as well as Government Decree 37/2011 (III. 22.) on the State aid procedure and the regional aid map in the sense of the European Union competition law announces open tendering for the support of the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperations every year.

The purpose of budget support is to enable European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation (hereinafter „EGTC”) in order to strengthen the economic, social and territorial cohesion and to promote cross-border, transnational and interregional cooperation, to receive support for their expenditures incurred in compliance with law and for the purpose of the association’s intended activities as well as for their development plans, elaboration and implementation of their projects within the framework of state involvement. The government’s goal is to ensure that isolated areas along the border have more effective access to EU funds through their cooperation, and to ensure their continuity and development through their support.
